Native American flute performance at Red Rock Visitor Info Bldg, Sedona on 3/13
Performance by Wolfs Robe, Native American Flute Player

Sedona, AZ - World-renowned traditional Native American flute performer and educator, Wolfs Robe, will be performing Saturday, March 13, at 1:00 p.m. in the Red Rock Visitor Information Building, one miles south of the Village of Oak Creek.  The concert is sponsored by the Arizona Natural History Association and is part of the Archaeology Month celebration.  The concert is free and open to the public.

Wolfs Robe has built a reputation for his lyrical sound that is solidly rooted in the traditional flute style of the Native elders.  A two-time Native American Music Awards (NAMA) nominee, his flute sounds weave delicate melodies and improvisation into a landscape of nature and preservation of the Native American Culture.  Committed to the preservation of the Native American flute as well as his own ancestral connections, Wolfs Robe's work has been credited with helping to keep alive the art of traditional flute music.  His work has been showcased in documentaries and DVDs and has captured audiences from around the globe.

Other Archaeology Month events at the Red Rock Visitor Information Building include: "Prehistoric Skills Demonstration" by Al Cornell and Roy Julian, Friends of the Forest, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. March 14, 21, 27 and 28.  On March 28,  the "Prehistoric World of Agave" presentation will take place at 1:30 p.m.
